Re: EU stockist for GoPoint Technology 9105 BT1

Alternatives: in case you are on iOS, you may consider the Kiwi 3. It needs to be imported from the US too, but is less expensive. Furthermore, ASL's RaceCapture Wifi based accessory will get available in a few month and provide GPS and OBD at much higher rates than the BT1 or XGPS. For Android, th...

Re: GoPro Hero Session

I realized that many of my GoPro Session problems were due to an incompatible memory card (two different models PNY cards, both class 10 plus). They would cause significant delays in operation and general freeze ups. The moment the cards were removed, all went normal. That was the clue. I just purch...

Hero5

Well, the Hero5 and Hero5 Session were announced today and the Hero4's and old Session are no longer on the GoPro website.

Any knowledge or speculation on if either of these will work with HLT?

Availability Oct 2.

Re: GoPro Hero Session

Even run manually, the Session seems to lock up at random and otherwise become sluggish in responses (several second delay after button press).
I have two of them - one is worse than the other - they are both however bad.

Re: GoPro Hero Session

Until you address this in the software, what is the best approach to trying to use a GoPro Session (as I have 2). Today was a total fail trying to use one. It did not start recording reliably, dropped the network interface now and again, and froze up a few times. I am very disappointed with what app...

Encoding of VCO export files

I am writing a python script (v.3) to read in a VBO export and add in the AVI information to support video. It works great on a PC, but the identical script on a Mac produces unicode errors in reading the VBO file. Does anyone know the encoding of the .vbo export or otherwise is aware of potential i...

Re: Camera Conundrum

I worked through copy process from go pro to iphone and relinking in HLT. As long as only 1 file at a time not too confusing. Takes very little time other than unmounting camera and removing card. I ordered a little microSD extension cable to externalize the microsd card - perhaps this will make thi...

Re: Camera Conundrum

I tried this (I have both adapters already) and ran into problems trying to figure out which video was which for relinking purposes. Also, for autocross there is not enough time for all of these steps (remove camera from mount, remove card, transfer, re-link, overlay, etc. then finally view). For th...

Transfering VBO file to laptop without internet connection

Is there a way to create and export a VBO file from HLT to my laptop (mac) without an internet connection to support a dropbox or mail connection? I'd like to do this at a track but can't guarantee I'll have an internet connection. The only other option is to use a hotspot and hope for a good intern...

Camera Conundrum

I am at a point with HLT where I am confident it is relatively quick to setup for AX use and provides good instant feedback after each run. Data gathered is good, although I'd really like brake pressure which seems elusive. Video is the problem. Using my iPhone 6+ camera results in the well known sh...
