Re: Video always stops at 33 minutes
The 33 minute limit by itself is not a material problem. Last question. When the recording ends at 33 minutes the lap data program continues to run. Will the video overlay work OK on a video that was ended by the phone ?

Re: Video always stops at 33 minutes
33 minutes creates a 4GB file at 1920x1080. The SD Card is formatted with exFAT which is supposed to be good to 16 Exabyte. After posting my question, I tested the regular Samsung video camera and it broke long videos into 4GB segments.
Thanks

Video always stops at 33 minutes
I was testing a new phone with Laptimer. A Galaxy s7. When recording a video, it appears to be recording until I stop it, but the actual video always ends a 33.10 minutes. It shows the full time on the lap list, like 50 minutes for example, but the video itself is always ends at 33.10 minutes. I hav...

Re: Video Exposure Setting - Android
I added the photo in the original post showing an example where it would be good to auto-expose the track area rather than the full frame. If it was possible, maybe the default setting for exposure could put more weight on the bottom half of the image, since that is where "the subject" of ...

Video Exposure Setting - Android
On Sunny days, the blue sky and the track expose evenly in the video. On some cloudy the sky can be much brighter than the track, so with auto-exposure the track-activity is often under-exposed because the camera is averaging exposure with the brighter sky. - Your "exposure lock" setting c...

Transfer vehicle specs to a replacement phone ?
I am switching to a new Android phone. Is there any way to backup / restore "My Car" and other setup information to a new phone. There is a lot of detail in there. Google's cloud backup didn't do it the last time I tried. Thanks.

Re: Heat, Power-shortage, Video Quality -SOLVED
Actually late model Audis have no always-on power connections. Also my phone discharges slowly running LapTimer even when its connected to a 2 amp adaptor. The high capacity USB battery packs don't have voltage sag under the load of the video, so there is no discharge on the internal battery.

Re: What kind of cornering g forces are you guys recording?
FYI: G-Force readings are different with a good mount versus a shaky mount I recorded videos with two identical phones at the same time a few weeks ago. One of the phones was on a shaky mount and one was on a rock-solid mount. Cornering G's with a solid mount = 1.0 Cornering G's with a shaky mount ...

Re: Dual XGPS160 Times Out between sessions
SOLVED: After reading RaymondAbel 's post, I tested the XGPS160 when powered with a USB cable. Its hasn't time out so-far at 30 minutes. I previously wired full-time USB power in my car so I can just keep the GPS module powered all day. (Cigarette lighters on late model Audis are OFF when the ignit...
