Rotation bug on iPad

Latest iOS update, latest version of LapTimer Petrolhead. When I have the iPad in landscape and open the lap list, the screen rotates to portrait. I have to pick up the iPad, rotate it to portrait, and then rotate it back to landscape and then it adjusts.

Re: Laptimer with Go Pro Hero 6

I do not have any experience with the Hero6 but can say that video stabilization has not been necessary since the Hero2. The problem with stabilization is that cams are optimized for a certain recording scenario. For smartphones and action cams this is the situation you hold the cam in you (shaking...

Move and merge databases across devices

Hi Harry, I have LapTimer data and video recordings on two different iPhones, a 4S and a 7. I want to move/copy the database and video from the 4S to the 7 because (a) the 7 is faster, and (b) the video and data are too large for the 4S to create the exported overlay videos; it keeps crashing. Howev...

Re: Overlaid data has a long delay in video

I just ordered a 4S. Thanks.

Yes, there is a long delay between video and overlay on all my videos since I started using HlT over a year ago. I haven’t compared to see if the amount of the long delay has changed over time but it was never good.

Re: Overlaid data has a long delay in video

Yes, what you described is how I got to around 3.7 seconds on the overlay delay. By looking at the throttle, g-force, and track mini map overlays. You said previously that you don’t think it’s possible for the data and the video to be off by 3+ seconds. I would like to troubleshoot that and figure o...

Re: Overlaid data has a long delay in video

Hi Harry, I've uploaded it to YouTube here: https://youtu.be/pgAqd5r5DWI Sorry it's so shaky, I'm still trying to figure out a way to improve how I'm mounting the phone so that it has less shake and vibration. After submitting my post above, I found this post: http://forum.gps-laptimer.de/viewtopic....

Overlaid data has a long delay in video

Hi Harry, I've never quite gotten the data overlay and video to work quite right since I bought the app last summer- You may recall some of my posts then. Well, I went to another track event last weekend and experienced the delayed data overlay problem again. I'm not sure if the data rate is part of...

Re: Problems with video

Yes, I had done that and selected iPhone internal camera. I did a preview and everything looked fine. Then I hit okay to go back to the main race timer screen, checked the status and saw "video" was green and thought everything was good to go. Is there any kind of time out that would cause...
