Forgot to load the track before lapday
I forgot the load the Track this morning, so I have three 25 minute manual-start videos with Track "unspecified' I Don't want to mess up the data by trying the wrong thing. An update: I specified the track and split the video into laps. However some data is out of sync with the video. The MPH s...

Re: Why isn't there an annual contract ?
As you know, "line of business software" (SAP, Oracle etc) is usually sold with an annual fee to continue usage, not just for updates. You mentioned what is fair to your user base. I would argue it isn't fair to the developer to have his software and support available forever with essentia...

Re: Video Compression Artifacts
Forced Software processing causes a new problem that wasn't there last year . . huge file size I switched to Software Processing because the hardware processing made a terrible video. Mostly seen when shading on the road surface changed. Lighting change would occur in big square blocks of grey and l...

Why isn't there an annual contract ?
Advanced software under continuous development and user support built for a niche market should be sold under an Annual Maintenance Contract Nobody wants to think about, but in USA "lap days" cost your customers $1000-$2000 USD per day in fees, event-insurance, tires, brakes components, fu...

Re: Remove Gear from Display
Harry asked "why do you want to remove the gear display" The RPM reading on my display occasionally jumps up to 20,000 RPM for a moment when actual is around 6400 RPM. This causes the rotary-arrow on "Gear" display to swing wildly which is distracting when watching the video. Th...

Re: Full session not exporting?
Check the file size of your truncated video. 4GB file size limits are imposed by some phones, or if using an SD Card formatted with fat32 instead of exFAT will limit file size to 4GB. On some phones and depending on overlay settings, the overlayed video is larger than the original, so the original v...

Re: Video Compression Artifacts
SOLVED: The bitrate multiplier setting of "2" doubled the size of the file; a setting of "3" tripled the size of the file, but I could not see any improvement in the quality of the video. So, I switched to Software processing and it was excellent, as it was last year before hardw...

Re: Video Compression Artifacts
Is the initial video bitrate controlled by the LapTimer or just the Overlay ? The initial raw videos also have smaller file sizes than videos of the same frame size and time duration from last year. Then the file size of the overlay-videos get much smaller.
I will work on your suggestions. Thanks

Video Compression Artifacts
Testing a new phone GS7 and the current version of Laptimer, I just created a video driving around my neighborhood and then added the overlay. The 1920 x 1080 overlay video has severe compression artifacts and the overlay file is less than half the size of the original video file. The overlay video ...

Remove Gear from Display
I found a post on excluding ODB PID's . . is this the method to remove specific items from the overlay display ? "Gear" is a calculated item, how can I remove it from the display ? Does running a Bluetooth ODB sensor and Bluetooth GPS device at the same time impact the accuracy or latency ...
