Re: iOS 12 and strange behaviour

HLT is not working at all since I upgraded to iOS 12. I have tried: Restarting the App. Restarting the phone. Deleting all Laps. Deleting all Tracks and making one new Start/Stop trigger, with a direction set. Manually starting recording before crossing the Start/Finish line. Automatically Starting ...

iOS 12 and strange behaviour

I upgraded my iPhone 7 to iOS 12 today. I am not sure if it is related but I got very unexpected behaviour. I started a Recording manually at work, and drove homewards. No lap was triggered as I crossed the start finish line. I thought I must not have had my Work to Home track loaded and thought, no...

Re: Check Data deleted all sessions of Track Day

No problem Harry, I understand how these things work :) I did check for automatic backups yes. I tried reloading from the latest one, but it did not contain anything from last night. A couple of knock on effects of these events which may or may not be relevant: -Having reloaded from my saved databas...

Check Data deleted all sessions of Track Day

tldr version: Sitting in pit lane near Start/Finish line corrupted a lap recording. Check database deleted all OBD2 and GPS data for all session over the whole day. No backup. Long version: After my last and for me most important track evening of the year, I tried to back up the evenings' data befo...

Laptimer crashing since iOS upgrade.

iPhone 7, iOS 11.0.1, HLT Grand Prix Edition 21.0.11. The app has started crashing regularly, maybe on a 50% basis whenever I go into Analysis-Lap List and then either try to "Play " a video, "Export" a Lap , or look at the data for a lap. Sometimes after a crash, but not every t...

Re: [OP3+OBDLink MX+XGPS160] Choppy OBD data when XGPS160 in use

... Which setting do you run for OBD Extrapolation? Sorry for the delay in answering , good to hear the settings are helpful :) I currently have it set to Aggressive. I've looked pretty closely at how the interpolation/extrapolation works, my opinion is that it is almost always better than taking t...

Re: [OP3+OBDLink MX+XGPS160] Choppy OBD data when XGPS160 in use

I've been having this same issue, but with the Kiwi3. I have found that I can fix the problem in my case, by lowering the Sensor delays. Currently I have the following settings: Sensor Delays Dual XGPS: 0.3 Any OBD: 0 Internal Acceleration: 0.3 Overlay Syncronization Video: 1 For me, this lines ever...

Re: XGPS160 issues

However, now when I try running the firmware updater on my PC, it keeps reporting the following: Entered COM PORT : COM3 Not sure, but I don't think your driver has actually installed properly. Does it say COM 4 STMicroelect... in the dropdown menu? In the Device Manager you should see "STMicr...

Re: XGPS160 issues

What should I try? I installed the v3.4.5 firmware update, it seems to have fixed my issues. This is what I did: 1. Download the Firmware update in the known issues linked by Harry above. 2. Extract the zipped package somewhere convenient. There are several folders. Find the xgps160fwu-v2.4.5-v3.4....

Re: OBD Extrapolation with OBDlink MX vs Kiwi3

Thanks for the response Harry. Sorry to be persistent, but I just want to be sure I am understanding you. If I leading myself astray here, then feel free to ignore this. I am using a Python script to send OBD commands to Laptimer. I am calculating everything based on time elapsed from when the VIN r...
