Re: Heat, Power-shortage, Video Quality -SOLVED

Actually late model Audis have no always-on power connections. Also my phone discharges slowly running LapTimer even when its connected to a 2 amp adaptor. The high capacity USB battery packs don't have voltage sag under the load of the video, so there is no discharge on the internal battery.

Re: What kind of cornering g forces are you guys recording?

FYI: G-Force readings are different with a good mount versus a shaky mount I recorded videos with two identical phones at the same time a few weeks ago. One of the phones was on a shaky mount and one was on a rock-solid mount. Cornering G's with a solid mount = 1.0 Cornering G's with a shaky mount ...

Re: Dual XGPS160 Times Out between sessions

SOLVED: After reading RaymondAbel 's post, I tested the XGPS160 when powered with a USB cable. Its hasn't time out so-far at 30 minutes. I previously wired full-time USB power in my car so I can just keep the GPS module powered all day. (Cigarette lighters on late model Audis are OFF when the ignit...

Dual XGPS160 Times Out between sessions

I recently bought a Dual XGPS160 to use with Laptimer. I found the Bluetooth connection between the Dual XGPS160 and the phone depends on having Laptimer being the active-displayed app on the phone. Apparently Laptimer has the "helper" function to enable the Bluetooth connection between the devices....

Re: Heat, Power-shortage, Video Quality -SOLVED

If the car lighter socket would stay ON with the ignition OFF, I probably wouldn't need the Battery Pack. I bought a couple of 2 amp cigarette lighter adaptors, but the Android phone still slowly draines the phone battery when recording with the Laptimer. Also with the power supply, I can leave the ...

Heat, Power-shortage, Video Quality -SOLVED

I run Laptimer whenever I am on the track. A Best Lap Time or interesting traffic can happen at any time. But phone-overheating and fast battery discharge are problems with extended use. OVER-HEATING Smart Phones will overheat and shut down while recording videos in direct sunlight through your wind...

Re: The "Long Track" at BIR worked last year, but not this year.

Three questions . . you said 2) Next time you run into this issue, try dragging the trigger to the outer tracks limit or even beyond. 1. is that done before or after the track event ? and where in the interface is this done ? 2. I just bought a Dual XGPS160n external GPS sensor. Will that help ? 3. ...

Re: All Colors in overlay shifted upward in video

NEW PROBLEM After successfully testing SAMSUNG-SM-G900A,1920,1080,+16 on the GS5 phone I don't usually use for Laptimer (because it had my son's videos from last weekend), I tried configuring the UV-Offset on my dedicated Laptimer phone that I was using lastweekend. The existing RAW video on this p...
