Re: BTStack GPS not recognized?

Hi Rob, As BTStack and the Satellites View is a interaction that is a bit tricky - but probably of general interest - I use this reply to give an overall description before going into your specific situation. LapTimer uses the data delivered from the so called Location Service - a part of Apple's OS...

OBD Update Rates with KiwiWifi

The OBD update rate varies a lot by car connected to. LapTimer is optimized to get the best possible update rate for RPM and Throttle position. All other values are retrieved at lower update rates to get the best for RPM / Throttle. This is what I have seen so far: 2005 Porsche 911 C2 1.4Hz 2011 Por...

Re: Version 13 and early iPhones / iPods

Found the bug. LapTimer v13 uses a function not available on iOS3.1.3, this crashed all devices with this iOS installed. I will submit both LapTimer and LapTimer Professional v13.1 to Apple today evening. In case you can't wait for the approval process to complete, please send your device's UDID and...

Re: Version 13 and early iPhones / iPods

Just received another crash report on a iPhone3Gs. Again, it is an iOS 3.1.3 device, so most probably it is an issue with the iOS, not the device.
Stay tuned, I will try to reproduce the problem and make a quick fix available.

Re: Best GPS accessory?

The last gen iPod (4th?) has certainly no online functionality. Video is HD but has less width. The rest is just the same.

Version 13 and early iPhones / iPods

It seems that early iPhones / iPod touches (most probably all models with 128MB main memory) with OS version 3.1.3 have problems with LapTimer Version 13.0. This devices will time out during startup and quit to Springboard after a few seconds. In case you read this early enough, do not upgrade curre...

Re: Recommended window mount for iPhone 4

No recommendation from my side as I did not test mounts extensively. This one here was reported to be very stable / vibration free: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0484008560

Re: Best GPS accessory?

Hi Matt,

The Bad Elf is approved already and works at 1Hz.

The GNS has the advantage that it can be mounted behind the windscreen and the iPhone can be stored away safely. However, the GNS will remain a 1Hz device, I talked to the manufacturer already.
