Re: TomTom Carkit with iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4

Hi,

Please install the 'Car kit tool' from TomTom available in the AppStore for free. You can use this to analyze the basic connection.
Looking into the chat, I doubt they gave all hints one can give on making this work.

Re: TomTom Carkit with iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4

Hi, On the first point: Please always update to the last version of iOS available. Most probably LT crashes with 4.01 as it uses any OS feature that has changed since then. It is pretty touch to keep an app stable with all iOSes. Currently, the general route for LT development is that I try to keep ...

Re: Video recording more than one lap

Yes, something like this might be a workaround - although I found the asset library integration the 'cleanest' approach. Dropbox is not faster, even for the transfer from LapTimer into the local storage. You have to keep in mind, that the files transferred are large for a small device...

Re: Video recording more than one lap

You are aware that LapTimer currently records every other lap, not only the first one. Recording every lap is not yet supported. The detection of problem conditions (like low memory) requires some more work, especially when transferring videos recorded to the Photo library.

Re: max RPM in the engine settings

Yes, that's on the list like a separate max RPM and a threshold for the gear shift indicator.

Re: OBD Update Rates with KiwiWifi

Hi,

LapTimer requests RPM, TPS, and VSS only at high update rates. MAF is requested every 4th time, all others every 16th time.

I did some experiments with an a selective approach but did not get significant better results as long as we take RPM, TPS, VSS as a minimum.

Re: data reading

Hi, I have no recommendation on external data recording applications. Most of the applications are specific to proprietary sensors, maybe someone of the friends here can help? You are aware that LapTimer has some lap to lap comparison in the data recordings area (i. e. Lap List -> Lap Details -> Tra...

Re: Como se guarda un circuito?

Hi, LapTimer saves POIs every time it is sent to background (Home button pressed). As I received a problem report from another user adding a trigger, I did the following: What I did: Started LapTimer; changed to GPS View; pressed the '+Flag' key; changed the new trigger's name and type (intermediate...

Re: data reading

Hi, The CSV files contain kind of 'raw' data LapTimer receives from the sensors. The first row has some description on the columns: LAPINDEX,DATE,TIME,LATITUDE[degrees],LONGITUDE[degrees],SPEED[km/h],HEIGHT[m], GPSDIFFERENTIAL[UNKNOWN;2D3D;DGPS;INVALID],GPSFIX[NOFIX;2D;3D;UNKNOWN],SATELLITES,DIRECTI...

Re: Innovate MotorSports OT-2 support

Hi, Yes, I'm aware. It uses a completely different API compared to most other OBD sensors. I will check nevertheless, however, would be quite some effort for only one device. All devices featuring the ELM327 or an ELM327 compatibly interface (e.g. OBDKey) work already. I will work on the compatibili...
