Re: OBD collects data too slow

I’m sorry, but you need to follow the instructions on debugging OBD connections in this case too. Going down to zero means that LapTimer needs to reinitialize communication due to a protocol error. Start with trying the settings named and send a log in case this doesn’t help.

Re: Overlaying Both Smartphone Cameras

You can record a second video with a second smartphone (using the built in camera app) and add this video to your recording later. GrandPrix will allow overlaying it as a PiP or rear mirror video. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXjVb8nWCXI for instructions how to add it. Using front and rear at...

Re: Codec for video overlay

I assume you are on Android. It *may* work as input. For the software method almost sure, for the hardware method it depends on your phone. Output is H.264 for hardware accelerated overlaying and mpeg2 for software encoding. The later is quite old but yields good quality. These videos are huge howev...

Re: Downloading laps from Android

Hello, Create a video including an overlay first. This is done from Lap List / any lap / Video / Export. Once this is done, you will find a new video in Video List. Select it and press the distribute button / icon. This will bring up all apps registered for videos including YouTube, Google Drive etc...

Re: OBDII Data

Re: Shaky Video with HLT, Clean without

All phones I have seen shake with LapTimer, showed shake with the phone's camera app too... There is an option to turn off *software* image stabilization you can try: LapTimer ‣ Race ‣ Video ‣ internal cam ‣ Preview ‣ Tools menu in the top right. The hardware issue with a engine vibration triggered ...
