When using an external GPS on a race motorcycle, does the GPS device need to be connected to my iPhone running HLT? (Or can I do my laps with just the GPS and then import the data to HLT after I'm done racing?) If I need to have both the GPS and my iPhone on the bike, can that connection be bluetooth?

I've used HLT for many years but only using my iPhone for GPS. I'm now looking for a better GPS sensor and I'm wondering if I will have to have both the external sensor AND my phone on my motorcycle or if I can run the external sensor on the bike and then "dump" the data into HLT on my pho...
