any thoughts on using something like this in the 6ft option with the bad elf?
http://www.cablejive.com/products/dockXtender.html
6ft length would allow me to put the sensor up under the windscreen while locating my iphone/ipod under the seat.

Re: Best GPS accessory?
thanks for the reply harry.
yes I was hoping to use them seperate as you have mentioned hence the interest in the GNS.
i also have a 3rd gen ipod touch, i imagine there would be very little difference between that and an iphone 4 when using an external gps unit like these?

Re: Recommended window mount for iPhone 4
i cant suggest a window mount as such, but i have a bunch of ram mount camera arms and mounts that i use for GoPro cameras on my motorbike, very well thought out and designed system.

Re: Best GPS accessory?
just to clarify, does the bad elf work with LapTimer currently but only at ~1Hz or does it not work at all at this time?
I need to get a GPS unit but as im using it on my motorbike the tom tom kit is a little hard to accomodate, would the GNS 5870 MFI be a decent option for a smaller/seperate unit?
