Re: iPhone not tied to a phone service
Thanks Harry, and sincere apologies - I was being stupid - the phone had been factory reset and was set to "GPS low accuracy" i.e. triangulation. I've set it to High Accuracy and it's working perfectly. Many thanks again.

Re: iPhone not tied to a phone service
Similar question - I've just used my old phone (Moto G4 Android) as a dedicated HLT camera/recorder. No sim card installed. I can't get GPS or speed overlay now, even though the phone has inbuilt GPS. Do I need a SIM card in the device or am I missing a setting to be able to record speed/location. I...

Manually starting video recording from the "Engine" submenu
Hi folks, I really only use HLT as a dashcam during the winter and I always use the "manual record" function on my journeys. I can only start a recording when in the "Timer" or "Speedo" view (Android). I'd love to have the "Engine" data displaying in real time...

PC processing suite?
Hey Harry, Loving the full premium laptimer on my Android, especially now I have bought the Scantool MX. My issue is overlaying the video - I can only use software encoding and it takes forever. I've tried other PC overlaying software but find the interface and output too basic/messy. Could you writ...

Re: Export video (Android) always freezes at 100%
Harry, is there a simple way I can take the overlay file off the phone and use my powerful PC to encode the overlay over the video? I know there are thirdparty tools for this - I'm cool with that - I just need to know how to find the overlay file so that I can get it onto my PC?

Export video (Android) always freezes at 100%
Hey chums, I've had this problem all day. I have taken a 30 minute piece of "dashcam" (not track) footage and I go to Export. All goes well until 100% Overlaying Video, then it hangs my phone. Can I do the overlaying on my PC instead, or am I being stupid? Many thanks. Petrolhead edition, ...

Re: OBDII drops within 10 seconds of connecting
Since I bought the OBDLink Scantool MX thingy I have not had the problem - everything just works - hence it's worth buying a better ODB dongle rather than trying to make a $5 ELM327 piece of junk do anything. Thanks all!
