In that case, would it be possible to add a manual start button to Timer View?

Race>Classic + video in landscape on iOS
When using Classic mode for recording, if the iPhone is in portrait orientation, the resulting video is sideways when later viewed. If using Classic mode for recording when the iPhone is in landscape orientation, the accelerometer is wrong but the resulting video is now otherwise correct. In further...

Trouble downloading from Hero5 to iPhone
Over the weekend I was using laptimer on my iPhone which was controlling my GoPro. This is my old phone which is now 100% dedicated for this purpose. It is exclusively attached to the GoPro's WiFi and Bluetooth as the phone has no SIM card. Video would start and stop great. I can see the recordings ...

Garmin smartwatch for heart rate?
For those of you using an iPhone, has anyone tried using a Garmin smartwatch as an alternative to the Apple Watch for tracking heart rate? While the Polar HRM is the most accurate (and a rather cheap) option, I really dislike wearing that chest strap.
thanks!

GPS data in Hero5 data
I dont know if you saw this yet but someone has been building tools to parse metadata from GoPro Hero 5 cameras Assuming this is something that you could use, do you think it would be possible to automatically sync the videos? Would it also be possible to use that sensor data to fill in gaps, add da...

Re: Video start time
Yeah, Ive done that on occasion and hate doing it. At that point the last thing I want to do is to look through screens on my data logger for little buttons. Its distracting and far too easy to mess something up. I usually end up worrying about that and generally being somewhat distracted from what ...

Re: USB OBD2 on IOS?
hmm....well ok, then what about using the Freematics ONE as a data logger, triggering it via BLE and downloading the data at the end of the race? Its arduino based, has a pile of features, and is quite cheap. Freematics Vehicle Data Logger V4 (Freematics ONE) Arduino Compliant Yes User Programmable ...

USB OBD2 on IOS?
Would it be possible to use the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Cable and a USB OBD2 cable, to directly read the data? I find that both Bluetooth and WiFi tend to flaky in their own unique ways.

Video start time
Would it be possible for LapTimer to start and include the video capture on IOS a few seconds before the start trigger point? It would be useful at the autocross events I attend. Also, this would be useful way to remove the bleached out image I have on all of my recordings. If it helps, I have an iP...
