HP based on GPS & vehicle parameters only
Hi. I am looking for a GPS based measurement of power / torque based on known vehicle parameters. The car is a bike engined sports racer and has no provision for OBD (wish it did). I looked for a dyno app and yours came up. I already have the Grand Prix edition of lap timer and have enjoyed using it...

Re: Phone not "talking" to camera
Thank you. It communicates now. I think that Sony's software which was minimized but not shut was interfering with it. What threw me was that it said it recognized the camera but it just would not start it at the stop/go point.

Phone not "talking" to camera
Hi. Currently using an Android Turbo and Sony HDR-AS20. I understand I have to manually sync but the documentation seems to imply that the phone should tell the camera when to start and when to stop. Single seat open cockpit car. Phone on left fender, camera on roll hopp, literally 3 feet (1 meter) ...

Re: Go Pro vid doesn't show up in lap
Thank you for your patience. I found the edit button which allowed me to do that. I have made detailed notes. I had apparently discounted the edit button because it seems every other programmer employs it only to get a "delete" bar.

Re: Go Pro vid doesn't show up in lap
Thanks Harry. I did look at the documentation and can't find out what to do if nothing shows up. I copied the go pro video to smart phone from inside itunes. I put it in the Lap Timer data place. It appears there in the video list along with the 6 iphone videos I took. Then I went on HLT app on phon...

Go Pro vid doesn't show up in lap
Sorry. Using old Go Pro and manually putting video on iphone. Latest version HLT. I know to move the video into the phone from within itunes. It shows up in the data directory for HLT. But when I start HLT on my phone and select a lap from the lap list, only the iphone vid shows up. No Go Pro video....

Re: Turning vid display off while recording
Thanks very much. I was able to make a "track" near my house and run the app. It works exactly as I need it to work. Looking forward to a 2 day event with the Elise on day one and the Cayman S on day 2... and HLT recording both. Cheers

Re: Post Your Track Toy Here
Had a 996 C4 when I saw a Lotus on Top Gear. Said "Gotta get one and drive for 2 years then sell it before it falls apart." Got the Elise, kept for 5 years then semi-retired it for the Cayman S. Both are track and street toys. New Jersey won't let me drive a Formula Ford to work so the Lot...

Hey Harry... Got a project if you're bored
After seeing how versed you are in GPS software development I had an idea. There is a very popular series of TV documentaries in America every summer. It is Shark Week. It draws many viewers. If you convinced the scientists who research for these shows to tag a shark with a GPS and wrote a phone app...
