Wow, I asked about a workaround because I figured it would take weeks or months to see some update - I didn't expect same-day!

I was able to grab the update and use it on my way home, everything seemed to work (lap recorded normally).

Thanks a lot for the feedback. While you make updates, can you think of any workaround I can do in the meantime? What if I manually switched between screens within the app, while I sat at a stoplight? Would my activity in the app override the GPS inactivity, and then not auto-cancel after 30 seconds...
