Re: Dual XGPS160

Can anyone comment on their relative experience of the 150 vs. the 160? Aside from the 10hz rate, how does it compare in accuracy, speed, reliability, dropouts, etc?

Thanks,

NordschleifeBTG POI set a bit off

Hi Harry,

Is it just me or does the NordschleifeBTG track set end early? In all the videos, the lap ends significantly before reaching the Gantry. The lap should end when the Gantry is just passing overhead, not when it's still 20 or 30 meters down the track. Agreed? :?

Thanks,

On that note, I'd love to see a comparison of LapTimer Pro with a 5 Hz external GPS chip, such as Emprum or Dual vs. a transponder. Anyone have such data?

Re: endless scrolling through the lap list

I have an item on my list that is similar: it will further group the lap list: 1 track 2 poi set 2 session 3 lap This means you will see one row with POIs and several rows with sessions. Tapping the poi row gives you a POI list, and tapping a session row will give you a list of laps for this sessio...

Re: Emprum's UltiMate GPS accessory

Am I the only one who has had horrible problems with the Emprum charging connection? I have already sent one unit back under warrantee, but the replacement is doing the same thing now. Basically the charging cable loses connection unless there is backwards pressure on it. If the cable is lose and wi...

I'll be at the Ring March 18-21, so I guess there is a sliver of a chance of getting my hands on 15 while there.... :geek:

There will be no release ahead of 15.0
I guess you'll just have to release 15.0 that much sooner then! ;-p

Re: LapTimer (Standard, Pro, Trainer) v14.4 submitted

Harry, Are you saying that although 14.4 doesn't support direct connection to the TomTom Car Kit, one can still run LapTimer with the TomTom and benefit from it? I.e. the TomTom will supply it's GPS data to the iPhone, which will in turn supply it to LapTimer? Is there any reason this will be less a...

Re: LapTimer (Standard, Pro, Trainer) v14.4 submitted

Harry,

If you go the 14.4.1 route without TomTom support, please just make sure that the update notes START with a big, "CAUTION: Don't download if you use the TomTom Car Kit."

I use the Emprum now, so fire away!

Re: Club Racing, Drivinbg schools

I agree that this is a phenomenal app, and that it is probably worth more than the current price. However, I also know I wouldn't have bought it if it cost much more. I suggest instead that Harry creates a premium version geared to schools with some of the features you requested in another thread, t...
