I'd be happy with it even if it was sideways (ie no landscape view). Just need a quick glance each lap or segment to see how a change in approach resulted in better or worse times.

It seems that video can only be recorded while in the camera view. I would like to see the timer or racer views while driving the lap. That is correct. I hadn't seen that it writes the overlayed video back to the same directory, so that I can watch the overlay with sound through the photo app. It doesn't bother me that I have to go back to the photo app to see it. When I watch the video through photo app, the volume bar is present....

Further info: -I deleted the overlayed video from the lap list to try to re-do it with sound. -I re-added the original video to the lap list, and before I performed the overlay it lost sound.
