Re: Cases with tripod mounts.

This was recommended by a user on this board. I think I will get one.

Re: Karting w/Laptimer

My race was postponed so it will be a couple more weeks. Bummer as I was also going to try out my new GoPro.

Re: Karting w/Laptimer

I'm going to try mine tonight for the first time on a kart. Its a rental / concession kart, so I'll use the Tom-Tom mount I have for the car with its suction cup. You'll get lat and long G, speed, lat and long position, heading, height, and distance as a function of time. It is exportable to excel o...

Re: Timer or racer view while recording video?

I'd be happy with it even if it was sideways (ie no landscape view). Just need a quick glance each lap or segment to see how a change in approach resulted in better or worse times.

Timer or racer view while recording video?

It seems that video can only be recorded while in the camera view. I would like to see the timer or racer views while driving the lap. The camera view isn't very helpful as I could just look out the windshield to see the same thing. I would like to see the delta to reference segment or lap. Is it po...

Re: iOS update on iPhone 4: saves app data?

Well now I feel dumb. Sorry for bothering you over a silly mistake!

I have also uploaded an HD video with the overlay:

Re: iOS update on iPhone 4: saves app data?

That is correct. I hadn't seen that it writes the overlayed video back to the same directory, so that I can watch the overlay with sound through the photo app. It doesn't bother me that I have to go back to the photo app to see it. When I watch the video through photo app, the volume bar is present....

Re: iOS update on iPhone 4: saves app data?

OK, contact sent from phone as requested. Looking into it a bit more, you are correct, the time has not changed. The video list shows a shorter time than the lap list, which is understandable. I confused the two. Viewing videos from my album I get sound an all of them, viewing them from within LapTi...

Re: iOS update on iPhone 4: saves app data?

Further info: -I deleted the overlayed video from the lap list to try to re-do it with sound. -I re-added the original video to the lap list, and before I performed the overlay it lost sound. So it seems to be the act of associating the video that causes it to lose sound -All of my other laps are al...

Re: iOS update on iPhone 4: saves app data?

Thanks for the quick reply. I performed a backup, and it seems to have done another backup during the update. A few interesting things happened: -the video became dis-associated from the lap, this was easy to fix in the edit menu -the reported lap time in my lap list changed (shorter by ~0.9s), but ...
