Re: Separate video and timing start/stop for Autocross

Yep, I tested it as well and it does work. I appreciate the extra effort to help me get this working. I just need to do a little script so I can keep it straight during the heat of the battle!
Thanks again guys.

Re: Separate video and timing start/stop for Autocross

Thank you for the response. "Manual start/stop timing is not the way to do it. In video preview mode (I don't think you can do this with background record) there should be a button to start recording the video. I forget whether it's red or green. This will also start timing, but it will detect ...

Separate video and timing start/stop for Autocross

I've struggled with using my HLT when doing autocross. If I manually start the video to avoid the 1-2 second video startup delay when HLT senses me crossing the start line, then my timing for the run is totally off (manual start/stop as opposed to automatic POI driven start/stop). As each run is rec...

Re: Autox time accurate, but video is starting 2+ seconds la

I was unable to find my firmware version for my HSR AS20, but there are no firmware updates offered for this model by Sony. I recreated each step of your testing scenario, and cannot reproduce the issue I had at the autocross. I am having some problems correctly managing my videos when my Sony cam i...

Re: Autox time accurate, but video is starting 2+ seconds la

Yes, I am running 19.0.17 version. In my test where the recording was manually started after the end point, both the sony cam and the internal camera have the same footage in this case. While at the autox that started this thread, they did not. I got only from where manually started through about 10...

Re: Autox time accurate, but video is starting 2+ seconds la

Sorry for the delay in response, I work a 12 hour shift an hour from home, so could not work with this till the end of my work week. I appreciate your follow up! I spent this morning attempting the same issue. Here is what I got. I set a new autox on my block. I set a start and set a stop 1/2 way ar...

Re: Autox time accurate, but video is starting 2+ seconds la

I was not clear when I said I LOST my afternoon runs using manual video start. I did get videos, but all were ended about ten to twelve seconds into the run, so I got no complete videos of my afternoon runs.
