New track map, counter-clockwise vs clockwise

Hi, I ran my motorcycle at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, but all the laps were recorded as a single lap. I have tracked down the issue to the direction we were running the course. The track set in the HLT database ("Indy GP 6a configuration") appears to be correct, but it i...

IPhone6 PIP video slightly behind overlay and GoPro Video

I am running HLT v19.0.8 Grand Prix edition on my IPhone 6, controlling a GoPro 3+ via WiFi. I recorded 5 races this weekend, and used the overlay feature to create a PIP of the IPhone front camera video using the GoPro video as my master. The problem is the IPhone6 PIP video is slightly behind from...

Location of PIP in overlay

Is there a way to define where the PIP video appears in the final overlay video ? It appears to default to the upper right corner.

Re: Still trying to stabilize video on IPhone

I am back from a race weekend, and the results on the IPhone 6 are dismal. I started off trying to use a high FPS rate, and recorded three races on Saturday. At the end of the day, the HLT database was corrupt, and I lost all my settings. Vehicle and track information was gone, and all my recorded l...

Re: Still trying to stabilize video on IPhone

Yes, you are correct. My mistake. I meant to say that a higher FPS (not resolution) will reduce the jello effect caused by the rolling shutter. On the IPhone 6, there is an ios option to use 60 FPS when shooting video. I enabled that in the IOS General Settings. I am not sure if HLT honors that sett...

Re: Still trying to stabilize video on IPhone

Thanks for the feedback. I think my next step is to try some of the vibration dampening solutions that the Air Drones use to remove the jello effect. I found a neat app that measures vibration ( https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/seismometer-6th/id362472189?mt=8 ) . From researching the drone solutions...

Still trying to stabilize video on IPhone

I am still trying to find the right combination of mounting solutions and software settings to improve the quality of video when using HLT on my vntage racing motorcycle. I really like to the ability to use a single device (IPhone 5/6) rather than a combination of a GoPro and a smart phone. Mounting...

Re: iPhone 6 Performance?

Any update on better video when using the IPhone 6 ? This seems like a step backward rather than forward.

Re: HLT on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Thanks for the quick reply. I have done a little research, and I believe both the IPhone 6 and 6+ offer Cinematic Video Stabilization . It is only the IPhone 6+ that includes Digital Image Stabilization , but that is for photo's only, not video. So, I believe the improved cinematic video stabilizati...
