Re: [FAQ] OBD Benchmarks
Now that you have an LX/MX...will it be easier to debug dropouts and noisy RPM readings(especially with Porsche cars?) Both seems to show great update rates...but don't seem that way in practice so it could be car specific?

Re: Is there a list for bluetooth obd2 sensors? Android only
You mean the noisy rpm data? Perhaps that is not related, but that was only for sessions with a seemingly reliable connection. I did get the "does not receive data at expected rate" even with the LX, so that part could be related to the issues seen here.

Re: Is there a list for bluetooth obd2 sensors? Android only
I have the Scantool OBDLink LX and even when it works with HLT(It only worked for the first 2 sessions then the connection died for some reason), the rpm data is very noisy and jumpy. Others have noticed the same thing with the OBDLink readers, but I'm not sure if it's car specific. I too have used ...

Re: Smooth OBD data?
Would it help to send the exported data from this session?
I'm not sure I understand how the interpolation/extrapolation is creating 1 or 2 huge spikes between 2 readings:
For example 18 subsequent RPM outputs 0.2seconds apart:
3953
3947
3975
3920
3561
3008
2663
13589
3911
3911
3509
3592
3611 ...

Re: Smooth OBD data?
I'm having similar issues with an nearly identical setup. I noticed that there are often spikes of very high RPM for 1 or 2 readings. Some as high as 20,000 RPM. Even if you remove the spikes, the increase in RPMs is very noisy(not physical)

Re: OBDLink LX data list and stability Samsung Note 3, Petro
I decided to get the LX. Unfortunately the connection with HLT is a bit buggy. Seemed to work fine during a trial run(read at up to 8hz). Then also seemed fine during my first session this weekend but the second session, I got the "does not receive data at expected rate" and no more obd reads for ...

Re: Force output sampling rate
Thanks for the clarification,
Here are the actual time stamps of the csv entries. Is there a reason why some entries are being skipped? In other words, there should be an entry every 0.2 seconds for a 5Hz sampling rate, but there are frequently entries 0.4 seconds apart, where there was probably ...

Force output sampling rate
Hi Harry,
Is there a way to force the output log sampling rate? I'm using a QStarz 818Xt set to 5Hz(with DGPS on) and OBDLink LX(Reads 8Hz, 50-60 PID/s). When I look at the csv log, it's outputting at just over 4Hz. Time stamps are 0 0.2 0.6 0.8. It frequently skips one of the samples but not ...

Android Speedo View
Hi Harry,
Is there an ETA on when the speedo view will come to the Android version? It's one of the more useful views, especially when some HPDEs request that you do not turn on real time lap information.
Thanks.
