Acquired Accelerations

Harry; The other day I had some free time and was interested in finding out how good the iPhone accelerometer is... So.. Since I work in vehicle dynamics, I grabbed a PCB T356B08 tri-axis accelerometer along with my National Instruments setup running at 3200 Hz to do a little correlation work. I sec...

Re: [Warning] Problem with BT Accessories in iOS7.1 and 7.1.

Awesome! The issues described above are exactly the ones I have been having. I utilize the exact same devices listed as well. I was really disappointed in the product at first along with the money I spent on the higher quality setup when I had a heak of a time getting all of it connected. Great to k...

OBD Tweaks

Harry; Couple of OBD questions... In the expert settings tweaks menu, how do I know which throttle PID to choose? The default seems to work fine on my 2002 Mustang but reads 100% almost always on my 06' Jetta TDI. Do you know what settings are the most appropriate for the Jetta\Mustang? I am not abl...

Accelerator Tweaks

Harry; The tweaks in the expert settings labeled "Accelerator Tweaks"... I assume those are for the internal iPhone accelerometer, correct? What are the optimum settings for these 2 categories: Update rate frequency and Use laptimer calibration I wanted to run at the highest frequency to o...

Re: Dual XGPS160

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who has some difficulty obtaining a connection the first time around. I have learned that I need to perform a similar number of actions as gplracerx above. Thanks!

Race Line Calculation

I saw the post below in regards to lines being viewed in google earth. However, I would be more interested in split times and line differences. Do I have to export the data and plot the lat/long outside of HLT to do that analysis?

Re: Dual XGPS160

Does anyone have any issues getting the 160 to provide updates to HLT? Mine regularly shows 0 Hz but is connected in the devices menu. Thoughts? Is there any particular order of operations you use?

Connection Order and Few Issues

Harry; I have an iPhone 5S and just yesterday bought a BT1 and a XGPS160 (10hz) GPS unit for autocross, high speed autocross and track days. I updated the 160 to firmware version 1.3.0. I am connecting HLT GP V18.0 and the accessories to multiple vehicles. The primary vehicle which I was not able to...

Re: [FAQ] OBD Benchmarks

Do you have any idea when the Kiwi wifi 2 will be tested? I also noted that in your recommendations you state the OBDLink is faster but I don't see results above. Is that a mainly subjective perception then? Thanks!

Harry;

Any idea when the Kiwi 2 results may be available? I am going to purchase everything in the next few days. Thanks!
