Re: lost data

No, pdb files are LapTimer's databases and there are no generic tools for them. Once the data is restored, please run Check Data from Lap List. This will look for inconsistencies and resort records in case they are screwed up. In case you have submitted your laps to Hall of Fame, I can extract this...

Re: lost data

Well, the restore was less than perfect. It looks like all the laps are there but they're not organized correctly (track, date, etc). The good news is I have backups of most everything. The bad news is I hadn't backed up this weekend yet and that's what I really want to retrieve - broke my fastest t...

Harry wrote:I'm traveling currently and can't test it. Please note the can is not powered down immediately when leaving a video view. It may take anything up to a minute until it disconnects.

Re: lost data

LapTimer turns the cam on in Video View and any view displaying video thumbnails: e.g. Lap Details, Video List. In case it powers the cam on in another view, please let me know. Harry So am I understanding this behavior is by design? Is the power level in video view use less battery power than regu...

Re: lost data

OK, root successful (what a pain rooting old phones) and I've found all the recovery directories, copying them to an sd card just to have another copy. I think I know what caused this - ever since a couple updates ago at the end of a session and I stop the HLT session, the device will stop recording...

OK, assuming I don't blow it up during the root that's what I'll do. Thanks

Rooting is not an issue. I'm assuming it's to get to the folder where the db is located?

Re: lost data

The general approach to restore your data (in case you do not have a recent .hlptrl export is available), is described in http://forum.gps-laptimer.de/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2626 The problem for LapTimer's Android implementation is Android does not allow access to the app's data area (named Docum...
