Re: Data recording from XGPS160 to iPhone6

As I have purchased it I use the XGPS160 as best I can for GPS signal to my iPad in the car. But for data logging for tracking the locations where I took photos I use my iPhone 6 and an app (GeoTag Pro).

Re: Data recording from XGPS160 to iPhone6

I find the XGPS160 quite flaky in operation - sometimes it is connected to my device and then it disconnects for no obvious reason, and then getting it paired again can be a struggle. Also (and Dual knows of this) this device will never do data logging. It appears to be recording but when you connec...

Update on iOS 7.1.2: http://www.macrumors.com/2014/06/20/ios-7-1-2-mail-ibeacon-lock-screen-issues/ Finally, iOS 7.1.2 is said to include both improvements to iBeacon connectivity and a bug fix related to data transfer with third-party accessories such as bar code scanners. There is no explicit men...

Re: LapTimer with TPMS device

Not directly an answer about TPMS and HLT but I can vouch for the durability and accuracy of the following units from a UK company called TyrePal. The units can read 0 to 6.8bar (0 to 99psi) with an accuracy of ± 0.1 bar (1.5psi). http://www.tyrepal.co.uk/products/tb99-4-or-5-wheel-tpms The system i...

Re: Login?

How stupid of me! As I'm going down your Laptimer GP route I probably won't need GPS Buddy. But thanks anyway.

Re: Using GPS Buddy

Hi, GPS Buddy does not record anything but shows realtime information only. I consider this as a free technology demo of things LapTimer can do. To overlay data including OBD, you need LapTimer Petrolhead or GrandPrix. The later will automate parts of data / video synchronization, the former requir...

Bluetooth or WiFi for KiWi dongles?

Hi all I'm new to the Forum and I have ordered a GoPro Hero+ camera, will buy Harry's LapTimer GP Edition but my question relates to OBD II dongles. I am looking at the KiWi versions and see that they do a Bluetooth and also a WiFi version. Which is best to use with Harry's LapTimer app and what are...
