Re: Ability to adjust video zoom before recording
The lens kit had an adapter with metal threads and an o-ring seal that was glued into the plastic threads. I suspect they stopped selling it because it was fairly easy to cross thread the adapter when installing the kit. That would compromise the water resistance, among other things. You wouldn't h...

Re: Ability to adjust video zoom before recording
Yes, I know - thx for the info. I thought I remembered the same and contacted Optrix. They replied earlier today that the XD5 case, with plastic threads, can only support the fisheye lens - but if you have their Other case (PhotoX I think) it has metal threads and can use the flat lens. Want to gues...

Re: Ability to adjust video zoom before recording
Hi Harry, We're about to start the new track season here shortly in North Carolina and I thought I'd check in with you on this topic. Any chance you're planning to 'surprise' us and provide this functionality in the upcoming Laptimer spring release? I'm really hoping you consider it!! Thanks much - ...

Motorcycle Overlay
Harry - does the lean angle overlay take into account direction of travel? I assume so. Going with that assumption - is it possible to display the lean angle as if viewed from behind the bike facing direction of travel - as is shown during MotoGP racing? Maybe it's me - or I have wrong setup, but it...

Rain tire technology is amazing! And nobody ever said that those of us who spend as much time as we do on a track are smartHarry wrote:You need to be a brave guy to drive motorbikes on track when it is wet - I never did that

Re: Not recording all laps?
OK. I'll be back there on Monday, but it's again looking like rain. Glad I have a set of dedicated rain tires/rims for the bike - they're going to get a workout early this season.....
I'll try again Monday and see if I get similar results.
Thx
- Mike

Re: Not recording all laps?
Harry - I went back and looked and all my sessions this past weekend ended around the same lap count. Usually 5 laps. Sometimes it was pouring - other times just overcast. Is it possible that something else is going on here and not sure interference from the rain?

Re: Not recording all laps?
Yes, that's right - that's VIR.
Ok - ill chalk it up to another learning experience for the weekend just like first time in driving rain with rain tires (and even some sleet!) and check it out again when I'm back there April 7th.
Thanks much Harry - the app is great!

Re: Not recording all laps?
Hmmm - they recently repaved VIR. I wonder if the original points were taken on one side of the near side of the track, by the kink, and I was out further to come back across the kink?
Would there be any benefit to recalculating the lap(s) and setting the accuracy to wide?

Re: Not recording all laps?
Hi Harry - thanks for the quick reply. I just sent the session to you for review. Hopefully it was just rain and it'll work better for dry days/sessions.
Btw - I know this was slow; first day of the season with rain...yech!
