Yes, when I start Laptimer it says it is accessing NMEA interface. If that will be accurate to .05 seconds I could get away with that but I may just spend the extra and get the XGPD160 if you think that will make it more consistent and accurate. Harry, Thanks for the quick response. I have an Android Galaxy note III so would that mean that I should see .05 second accuracy? What is NWEA? Is this a setting I have to make sure I select or will it do it automatically if I have a clear view of the sky? Also, can you provide some insite as to an ...

Accuracy question
I race a dirt track modified on oval tracks and I want to use this for timing my laps as I race. Tracks are generally 1/4 - 3/8 mile and lap times are from 14-20 seconds. They also score our laps electrically using MyLaps.com but you don't get those until the next day. Im am wondering about the 1HZ ...
