Re: Cannot connect to GOPRO Hero 5 BE in Laptimer

I shut the GoPro off turned it on again After doing this, you need to join the WiFi network again. From the icons in the top, the WiFi is still connected, but this is fake. When turning the cam off (power off), you need to start the sequence from the beginning. This has been different for the HERO ...

Re: Overlaid data has a long delay in video

No Google drive please, I do not have the bandwidth. In case you have a youtube link, I can have a look into it. With standard settings, it is next to impossible you get a 3 seconds gap between video and data and the video being ahead of data. The other way around, this can happen if the system is o...

Re: Cannot connect to GOPRO Hero 5 BE in Laptimer

The GoPro app used the BT connection to wake up the cam. Undocumented stuff. This is the reason, the sequence from 1) connecting the smartphone to the GoPro's Wifi and 2) enabling external video recording in LapTimer needs to be performed within a short time period. In addition, late Android version...

Re: Cannot connect to GOPRO Hero 5 BE in Laptimer

As written above, please make sure you kill the GoPro app. Killing an app is different from sending it to background by pressing the home button (or back button multiple times). The way to do it differs by Android version and manufacturer.

Re: Changing Overaid Video resolution?

Video resolution is never changed. As LapTimer uses a default bitrate provided by individuell Android phones, high compression may occur which in turn generates artifacts in overlaid videos. You can either set a higher bitrate in LapTimer Expert Settings (Video Tweaks), or switch to Software based e...

Re: RaceCapture support

They are all supported, but you need to configure it in a way LapTimer understands (see the post mentioned). The MK2 is the only device I have available and use for testing. As RCP devices are heavily customizable, please never expect anything to work "out of the box". You really need to u...

Re: Invalid Master Video Error

Please make sure you do not add blanks or special characters to the file name. v21 will fail to access a video file name in a non standard way (will be fixed for v22).

Re: Difficulty getting timer to trigger

Orientation does not have a direct effect in trigger detection. The GPS antenna will work better in one direction, but this depends on the smartphone model and cannot be answered in general. From what you describe, I assume there is either a problem with low GPS precision, or the direction set for p...

Re: Cannot connect to GOPRO Hero 5 BE in Laptimer

Make sure you kill the GoPro app. It will access the cam from background and actually screw things up. Make sure you are really connected to the GoPro's Wifi too. Late Android versions will bring up a dialog asking whether you really want to connect to a WiFi which has no Internet access. In case yo...

Re: Creating Tracks for Motocross

Hi, Laps are stored to the track set they where recorded with (the track set active while driving). When deleting the track set, only track information is purged, the laps stay around. When loading this track set again later, this track information is added again and you are in the same situation li...
