Re: OBD Measurements for Specific Vehicle?

LapTimer calculates brake pressure from negative longitudinal acceleration minus air resistance based on car characteristics. It is certainly better to have some custom PID available, but for Porsches it is difficult. If anyone has insights, I’m happy to add whatever is needed. ;-)

Re: Export Video a 2nd time

Hello, It looks like the overlaid video has not been deleted. Otherwise, it would not be possible to see a thumbnail or watch it. The original session video (without overlay) however seems to have been deleted. Otherwise you would get the Revert button to switch back from the overlaid video to the o...

Re: PLX Kiwi 4

Please have a look into the Train the Trainer document available on www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation. In case you have a GrandPrix edition, you can use the bottom diagram to set two cursors. This will allow you to analyze a certain section.

Re: PLX Kiwi 4

Data plots for throttle - yes, for brake not. Please try the G-G diagram, it is usually best to analyze brake and acceleration positions.

Re: Export Video a 2nd time

Please send a snapshot of the Lap Details dialog showing the Video section. This sounds like the video type is screwed up and needs to be switched. Please do not backup / restore / uninstall / install operations in situations like this. It should be possible to handle this in the app.

Re: Export Video a 2nd time

After removing the video from camera roll, you should see an empty video placeholder in the lap's details. Press the Revert button to return to the original video. Once this has been done, you should get the Export button again.

Re: Telemetry status?

The online view needs a fix, correct. I need to check what is going on. Accessing the server directly is possible too, but most probably too complex to implement quickly. It utilizes a TCP socket connection and binary packages for exchange of data. You need to apply for the developer program to get ...

Re: Gear position incorrect

We have a FAQ on this available in http://forum.gps-laptimer.de/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3425. The calculation in LapTimer can be considered bug-free. In case you are facing issues either the parameters entered are wrong / incomplete, or RPM / speed data delivered by OBD are inconsistent. For the later,...

Re: Anyway to create track from desktop?

Track sets are actually XML files you can edit yourself. You may want to look into the legacy document describing how to enter a track set into LapTimer without using the assistants (http://legacy.gps-laptimer.de/Tracks.html). Coordinates entered into the app can be retrieved e.g. using Google Earth...

This is an issue with iOS and the latest HERO. See Known Issues in the FAQ section of this forum.
