Re: PLX Kiwi 4

I have just this observation, not sure it is an issue with real cars or just the simulator. The Kiwi4 has some features on top of the Kiwi3. They are not relevant for LapTimer use, but may be valuable for other use cases. So at the same price I‘d take the 4.

Re: trackbike: help troubleshooting HLT GP w/external GPS over BT

Tracing is available for LapTimer Beta versions only. While using a production version, please download the free Harry's GPS/OBD Buddy app from the store. It has tracing available for all versions.

Re: Throttle for e46 M3 with Kiwi3

For some reason, the only Throttle PID $01$11 is not used. Please check if you have changed the throttle Expert Settings to something different than Standard (which is $01$11).

Re: PLX Kiwi 4

Yes, the Kiwi4 is working. I need to update the compatibility pages. I faced some compatibility issues when using the Kiwi4 with a simulator (instead of a real car) where the Kiwi3 worked just fine. Tested it with a Land Rover and a Porsche successfully. Both using a CAN bus. It looks like the Kiwi4...

Re: Combine multiple sessions into 1?

Interesting :-) Please export all recordings for Portland to .HLPTRL and send it to Harry@gps-laptimer.de. To do this, select any of the Portland laps, select the export icon in the bottom tool bar. In the Export dialog coming up, select Track as scope (should show 47 laps), and .HLPTRL as format. -...

Re: Video Exports with no Overlay, and can't import replacement video

Two potential issues here: #1 HERO always split long videos into 4 GB chunks. To overlay laps to the second and later chunks, the chunks need to be joined before transferring them to the smartphone. #2 For the HERO7, I have received some reports overlays do not appear for the iOS version after using...

Re: Enter An Alternative Preset Angle Manually

Hello Errol, Not sure individual calibration will work for motorbikes at all. Due to the lean, LapTimer uses downforce measurements to calculate the lean... The last step in calibration is something you need to do on track - while braking hard. Usually this will be done during the introduction lap a...

Re: Reset everything?

Please have a look into the FAQ on Migration / Backup / Recovery here on the forum. Create a backup of your data as described. Please verify the backup is complete and arrives. Delete the app, install it again, and restore the backup. NB: videos in LapTimer’s documents are are not backup-ed, so you ...
