Optimal GPS and Engine Data (CAN/OBD) - for CHEAP!

Working with Harry and Renato, they have come up with an ultimate cost effective solution. To me, it seems like the perfect solution as long as you can tinker, solder, figure out minimal code and Arduino with ESP32. Everything else out there is simply overpriced, and doesn't really work that well, t...

Re: OBDII Data

Please the start with making sure you are in the latest app version (v24.0.4). The BT1 is usually working without any tweak, so this is what we need to return to. Please start LapTimer and press the Contact button. Send the contact mail with note "please check my OBD settings" to Harry@gp...

Re: OBDII Data

I tried the variety that I had, including 7E0 and 7DF, since those are what I use with my separate CAN OBD display device, and ended back up at ALL. Tried ECU since that is in the help description below, and that changes itself to the $EC you mention. Also tried the reply address I use with 20-30hz ...

Re: OBDII Data

I've played with it quite a bit, and I can only get 1hz from the OBD data, GoPoint BT1, and really I only get RPM, nothing else. I've tried excluding most of the PIDs on the list, changing a bunch of other settings, but still only 1hz from the OBD data, and really only RPM. I know this worked in the...

Re: Heading to the track next week and want to be ready

set a trigger out of your driveway or down the road, like I do to play. Then every day if you leave you can test it and get used to how it works, and play with the datalogs and video overlay. Manually stop it awhile after you trigger the start . Or setup a start and stop trigger. You should get fami...

Re: OBDII Data

Hello, In case I remember correctly, there have been some issues with OBD recordings when using the Video Preview while driving. This is the reason the alert is shown when bringing up the Preview (checking field of view only etc). So can you please clarify if you used the Video Preview while record...

Re: Performance view

Thanks, you answered both questions. This is why the video portion is not really included then, makes sense. I think I can leave Automatic Timing, and just start a Recording manually on the video screen to achieve the same thing. Then review the data in the .csv. I'll try this later. I do have a 10h...

Re: Performance view

Anybody had any luck getting good 0-60 data? My setup seems to start logging at some point after I take off. I wanted to set the trigger to 1mph, and stop at 60mph, but I cant do that. Choices for start are: 0mph, 19mph+. Plus, I dont see a way to manually start recording on the Performance screen. ...

Re: OBDII Data

Hello, I have the same problem when OBD adapter (GoPoint BT1) is plugged in and showing data on the screen, I get no OBD data saved in the files, confirmed by looking at the CSV's. I have GPS data though, set manually to 10z, My GPS is sending around 5hz at the moment Should I change this to "G...
