Re: Upgrade to GRand Prix edition from Petrohead edition
I bought Petrolhead on the iPhone, and may have purchased GP Edition on the iPad, maybe there wasn't an upgrade option at the time, or I didn't realize that there was, I can't remember. Then iTunes must have automatically installed GP Edition on the iPhone when I did a sync.

Re: Upgrade to GRand Prix edition from Petrohead edition
Harry I upgraded to GP edition. On my iPhone, however, both the Petrolhead and GP editions remain. If I try to delete the Petrolhead, I get a warning about deleting the app and all of its data. How do I delete the Petrolhead edition without losing the data for GP edition?

Re: Best Virtual Lap as Reference
I wish there were a way to show the virtual best lap as a reference lap in the Charts display (Speed @ Distance).
Harry is there any way to incorporate that into the app?

Re: Harry’s lap timer pro versus a Transponder
Oh, I understood you got differences between the timing system and LT... So please forget my last post. Which accuracy is stated for your Blind Apex timer? My guess is they should not be too different - although the factors that influence accuracy for transponder systems are different ones compared...

Re: Harry’s lap timer pro versus a Transponder
Do you have a concrete report from the timing system? Maybe you pick a lap with a too big discrepancy, export it to .hlptrl, send it to me, and add the time the timing system believes in ;-) I will check and tell you which one is wrong :-) - Harry I'm racing in a couple of weeks and will send you s...

Re: Harry’s lap timer pro versus a Transponder
Interesting. My car has a Blind Apex timer installed, which uses the car & track transponder circuit to report lap times, and I find differences that are less accurate than those reported with Harry's GPS here. I often wonder if my car's report is more or less accurate than the track's timing (I...

Re: FS: Emprum Ultimate Device
Man, just missed this. I'll have to use the XGPS 150 with my 4S until I upgrade to the 5 next Spring. I wonder how long before Emprum releases an iPhone 5 version?

Re: Cases with tripod mounts.
I'm getting the new Phocus case. Looks good, it is made by the company that came up with the Owle Bubo, but this one is composite so it is a lot lighter and more compact, and half the price. I assume that you can get by with the case itself and no add-on lens for motorsports. https://smartphocus.com

New setup
I'm a new user and am setting up my car. I plan on using the Phocus case and a RAM mount on my roll cage, as my car is open cockpit with no windshield, and XGPS150. Two questions: For video is the iPhone 4S camera view angle appropriate, or is a wide angle lens adapter better (or worse)? The Phocus ...
