Re: XGPS160 issues

For what it's worth, I just got a new XGPS160 yesterday, installed the Dual GPS Skypro app, Settings -> Check Update -> it updated the firmware from 3.4. to 3.4.1. You say 2.4.1 above? Is that really the case? If so it'd possibly explain your issue. The "Supporting an App with old Dual SDK&quo...

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

Harry told me to ignore the accuracy figure. The RaceCapture doesn't communicate in NMEA sentences, so the accuracy number on the GPS or Timer page is meaningless. You need to look at the actual data output, i.e. .csv or .hlptrl. In that, a 3 means unknown or invalid. It starts at zero, not 1. I sti...

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

I think I may know the problem. You probably have to turn off the direction setting for the POI's when using an ASL device until Harry issues a fix, if he can. I also see the label on the video as VIR Grand East, not Full. In my track list, VIR Grand East is listed as outdated, but Start/Finish seem...

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

As far as I know, Verify Lap does the same thing as the app does in real time. My guess is that there's something wrong with the configuration of your triggers. Look at the map and make sure the triggers are in the right place with the correct direction set.

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

I think without the WiFi module it's not going to work very well with the Mk2.

ASL says you need to have the GPS on for half an hour to get the best accuracy. What's the GPS update rate in HLT? In the HLT Sensor List, does it list the RaceCapture?

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

Was there a change to the mk2 code already? I'm at vir and it's totally not working Do you have the Wi-Fi module? It won't work with HLT over Bluetooth. You also can't control a GoPro at the same time. What firmware version do you have? The latest is 2.11.0 You also have to be sure you download the...

Re: Connecting to RaceCapture

The RaceCapture/Track currently has a limit of 5 CAN channels. That's supposed to increase in the next firmware release. Firmware and software releases are slow, though. They still haven't released the latest version of their app for iOS.

Re: Connecting to RaceCapture

Any update on this? I would love this in order to get CAN data. HLT version 21.x can receive data from a RaceCapture/Track and probably other versions. But there are problems. I'm getting a lot of duplicate data points. That, in turn, makes calculating direction from the GPS data problematic. I'm g...

Re: Starting GoPro from Video View

For tracks with a separate start and stop trigger, you should see an initial stub lap when starting video manually, but no stub lap for the end. The expected behavior when starting video manually and arriving at stop is the lap is finished, no new lap is started, and both internal cam and external ...

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

If it helps any, I don't think it's smoothing. It appears to go bad when the heading decreases below zero. It should go to 360. Instead it goes to above 6500. Needless to say, it takes a second or two to recover from that. There's also still a problem with duplicate lines.
