Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

I don't have autocross data yet with version 21. I was going this weekend, but the weather isn't cooperating and I don't feel like driving 500 miles round trip to drive in the rain. The next event is the second weekend in May.

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

Never mind. Apparently i didn't go through enough operations like deleting, reloading and rebooting. It works now. I had to do some units conversion for temperature from C to F and from kph to mph, but that's now built in. It's still annoying to not have a stable direction channel.

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

Yes, but I'm trying to determine the level of the problem, not solve it. If it's the interface with the app, it's something you will need to fix. If it's on a more fundamental level, they have a problem. Since it doesn't work with the older version of the app either and the new version hasn't been r...

Re: Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

No rush, since 2.10.2 works. While there are some interesting channels that aren't available on 2.10.2 (maybe), I don't really need them. I say maybe because it's possible I could configure those channels with 2.11.0 and the 1.9.0 app, save the configuration, revert to 2.10.2 and restore the configu...

Firmware 2.11.0 for RaceCapture/Track

The new firmware is broken, at least for iOS. I can't see OBD data in either HLT or the iOS RaceCapture app. It says it's connected, but there's no data being transferred. I'm going to try going back to 2.10.2 It's too bad because the new firmware allows for using CAN channels as well as programmabl...

Re: Overlaying GPS speed rather than OBD?

You can get noisy OBD speed when the time offset is wrong. In the snapshot, the OBD speed is delayed compared to the GPS speed. I think you need to reduce the OBD time offset or increase the GPS time offset. I may have that backwards, though.

Re: Dual XGPS160

That's something to remember when changing the firmware on a Bluetooth device. You may have to reset some phone settings too.

By the way, I made a trip this weekend and the XGPS160 with firmware version 1.5.1 remained connected for hours.

Re: Dual XGPS160

I'm trying an experiment. It turns out that you don't need the iOS app to update the firmware. You can do it with a PC after downloading the firmware from the Dual web site. It also looks like iOS users should stay with firmware versions 1.x.x. The current version of this series is 1.5.1. I've repla...

Re: Accelerometer data missing on last run

This happened again with the new beta version. It was set to Internal Cam preset. Am I going to have to take the phone out of its mount and test it before every run to make sure the accelerometer is working?

Re: Dual XGPS160

As expected, the behavior of iOS 10.3 was no better.
