Good news for E46 M3 owners!
Had an email from GoPoint referring to a much older support case I raised. They've now done some investigations and added support for the E46 M3! I took mine out to the car, updated the firmware through the BT1 app, and guess what! http://fstopjunkie.net/images/IMG_3112.PNG Shows up in HLT as a 2Hz ...

Ok, this is exactly the problem I'm having now too, iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.3, and a genuine PLX Kiwi 2.
It seems to be communicating, but then it's not working with my M3 anyway (Another topic for another thread!)

Re: BMW vrs GoPoint BT1
Hi, I had some similar problems with mine: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=650
There has been a recent firmware update, but I don't hold out hope on it working.
I'm planning to get a Kiwi 2 now instead.

Re: GoPoint BT1 and BMWs
So I've found out some info that may assist those like me trying to connect OBD2 readers into BMWs. Having Googled and read through many forum posts, it looks like the E46 M3 and the E39 M5 (both 1998-2004-ish models) are not OBD2 compliant. They have an OBD connector, but don't use the correct prot...

GoPoint BT1 and BMWs
For information, I purchased a GoPoint BT1 in their sale to use with my 2003 BMW M3. When I plugged it into the car, I didn't get a beep at all. Instead, the red LED came on, then after about 30 seconds it flashed a few times, then went back to solid on. I'm working on this with GoPoint at the momen...

Re: Support for GoPoint Tech BT1 OBD-II
Received my BT1 last night. First problem I've got is that it doesn't seem to work!
Looks very nice and low key though. Got some troubleshooting to do, but I'm hopeful it's a good solution!

Speedo slow to update on video
Using HLT on an iPhone 3GS, windscreen mounted, with internal GPS. After exporting a video tonight and overlaying just GPS data, I noticed that the speedo would sometimes be slow to update to the current speed, or remain fixed on one speed before very quickly catching up with the actual speed. It's ...

Re: Support for GoPoint Tech BT1 OBD-II
Given how slow the DSC can be to kick in, I suspect the BMW bus is not very quick!
Understood on the integration, as I said, am happy to join in with any testing!

Chinese WLAN problems
Not problems with wi-fi in China, I should point out... My first dip of a toe in the water of OBD readers is with a Chinese Kiwi copy, and I'm hoping someone may be able to offer an answer to my problem. I've set up the wi-fi, that's all connected and stable. When I try to actually use it, Rev2Lite ...

Re: Support for GoPoint Tech BT1 OBD-II
I've also ordered one, so would be happy to help test! Harry, what's the bluetooth overhead like compared to WLAN? Will it have a similar impact to the polling speed of the OBD updates? Do you think the GoPoint cable could be a more efficient soluition, or does IOS put enough problems in the way to ...
